I cut my father-in-law’s hair this weekend and accidentally buzzed a bald spot because I forgot the guard 😅 Thankfully, he laughed and trusted me to fix it.

It reminded me: people (myself included) will slip up, we are distracted, flawed, imperfect. But when we put our trust in God, He never “forgets the guard”. He doesn’t slip. He never leaves bald spots. 🙌🏻✂️

My daughter & I were out picking wildflowers & she

My daughter & I were out picking wildflowers & she began to pick blades of grass & threw them in the air as confetti. I stopped & realized how often we see grass as a nuisance to mow & maintain, instead of a reminder of God’s beautiful creation. To her, it wasn’t just grass, it was confetti to throw in celebration.
May we all have eyes to see beauty in blades of grass, & to notice the simple things around us as God’s confetti - showering us with reminders of His goodness in every detail of our lives.

This picture of my daughter throwing grass in the air was by pure chance, it wasn’t “staged”. i went to take her picture in front of our in-progress house & she threw her “confetti” as i was taking the picture. i believe God wanted me to have this picture as a reminder to humble myself like a child & to share that reminder with others 🥹

I went over to our build to meet with the carpet company who was scheduled to meet at 1:00.

by 1:15 i was frustrated & called them.

“He is on his way” they said.

It was hot & muggy so i started to walk back out to my car to sit in the AC, but i turned & thought, what if i sit on the front porch instead? so i did.

i sat there all alone, my kids were next door with Granny & everyone else was gone to lunch.

just me, alone, quiet, still… it is a rare moment.

i sat there happily in the humidity, sticky & sweaty just staring out over our front yard field, listening to the beautiful song of nature & trying to put into words what I was seeing, hearing & feeling 💛

We put our hand prints in our garage concrete that was poured yesterday & a penny with our birth year since the production of pennies will be coming to an end. Unfortunately i couldn’t find a 2025 penny so we used a 2025 quarter instead 🤷🏼‍♀️
