The process of picking out every detail for this house has been years in the making! Years of praying, planning, & pouring our hearts into something that is so much more than just a house. 

In a world where Pinterest boards & influencers constantly show us what’s trending, it’s so easy to get swept up in what’s popular & to start designing our homes for others’ approval instead of our own peace. But what I’ve learned through this process is that timeless isn’t always about what’s in style… it’s about what’s meaningful.

So much of our home has been designed with our own childhood memories & our children in mind. little quirks, playful colors, & special details that I hope they’ll one day look back on and say, “that was home.” I want them to have a childhood house full of warmth & wonder, one that they’ll carry in their hearts forever. 

There was even a season where I stepped away from Pinterest completely! not because inspiration is bad, but because I wanted clarity. I wanted to pray & let the Spirit lead me, to choose things that felt like us.

Step back from the scroll for a bit. Pray & reflect. Ask what feels true to you & your family. What stories do you want your walls to hold?

Because at the end of it all, peace doesn’t come from following trends.
