Our ice cream lovin’ Adlee Russell turned 3🎉🥰
For those of you who don’t know, my dad & his best friend opened an Ice Cream Shop when I was in high school called “Fat Dads Ice Cream”. That shirt I’m wearing in these pictures was my dad’s 3XL t-shirt from those days. I dug it out of storage & served ice cream in it at Adlee’s party. 🥹 As I served, I thought about my dad & all he taught me throughout those last years of his life. He taught me to go big for my kids, he taught me to love everyone around me more than I love myself, & he taught me about ice cream😂 (among many many other things).
We celebrated March 8th with friends & family on a beautiful sunny (& windy) day!
The wind tried to take her balloons & ice cream stand a few times, but we put up a good fight.
I’m so thankful for friends & family who are willing to put up with my crazy ideas! & I am so very thankful for this sweet girl whom God has entrusted me to raise up for Him. I pray that she continues to come to know & believe in Jesus! For that is all that truly matters in this crazy fallen world after all. 💛
