Gender Reveal Party

During Covid, most all venues in our area (central NC) had closed down because no one was gathering for parties & celebrations. There were orders in place saying that only 25 people could gather & it had to be outside. I wanted to organize a gender reveal during this time because

  1. it was my first baby & I was very excited!
  2. it was a time where everyone was cooped up & not getting together
  3. I love a challenge

I convinced a local venue, Merry Hill, to host my small gathering in their beautiful gardens. The owner was overjoyed to host a gathering because no one had reached out for months at a time when they would usually be booked with weddings.

We abided by the “rules” only 25 guests & gathered outside where we could “social distance”

It was such a special gathering. It is one that I hold dear in my heart & memory. It was a joy to plan it & an even greater joy to be present for it.

All the vintage dishes were rented from Southern Vintage Table who also blogged about it back in 2020. I will link her post HERE.

She linked all of the party resources back in 2020 but I am not going to link them since this was a few years back. I just wanted to post the pictures here for inspiration for all who come across it.

I hope this inspires you to host, plan, & gather together with loved ones over a beautiful tablescape & a delicious meal.

We had lights in the balloons that were controlled by a remote control & they flashed many colors & the remote could stop on any certain color, so we pressed blue on the control to reveal that we were having a boy! We ordered the little lights in the balloon & control on amazon. Be warned – it is too heavy to keep the balloon afloat so the balloon will hang (as pictured). When I ordered it, I had hoped the balloon would float but we made it work 😊
