“Rotten rainy day”, that’s all i could think this morning. A dark cloud was over me both literally & figuratively. I was under the weather & overwhelmed.
The kids illuminated my darkness like sun rays piercing through rain clouds to form a rainbow.
& they indeed showed me a beautiful “rainbow” today 💛🌈 i pray for the same opportunity to shine rays into another’s “rainstorm” so they too can see their “rainbow”, just as my kids did for me🥹
The kids wanted to go for a walk on this dreary rainy day & i was quick to say “no” because it is raining & chilly! Adlee responded, “it’s okay, mom! We have an umbrella, jacket, & boots”.
She helped me realize, we have everything we need to go out & enjoy a walk regardless of the rain. The literal rain wasn’t going to stop her & life’s “rain” shouldn’t stop us from stepping out in faith & trusting that we have been given all that we need to weather life’s “storms”.
If you want the “rainbow” you have to brave the “rain”.
If it’s currently “raining on your parade”, keep parading! Because beautiful things come to those who endure the rain🌈
i came back from our rainy walk full of joy, with a more thankful heart, & a hand full of beautiful fallen leaves, as a token of God’s faithfulness in every season, literally & spiritually🍂
So, don’t hide away & fear when it starts to rain. Trust & believe, your rainbow is coming soon! & Note: The journey is more enjoyable when properly prepared🙏🏻☔✝️
in love,
